Software Engineer

PrintNow is a Web-enabled application that automates the ordering process between those who buy print products and those who sell them, anytime (24/7/365), from anywhere in the world. Originally founded in Springfield MA in 2003, PrintNow was established after years devoted to developing automated Web-to-Print and Variable Data Solutions. Eight core components: (Storefront, Flex Editor, PhotoLibrary, Merge Engine, OrderDesk, TemplateBuilder, Admin Tools and PrintNowAPI) define the core PrintNow web-to-print software solution.

We are hiring additional software engineers to expand our growing suite of Web-to-Print products at PrintNow. Qualified candidates shall have confirmed success in all phases of the software development process.

Responsibilities, skills, and experience:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering
• 3+ years of VB and Visual Studio experience
• JavaScript development experience
• Background with XML, SOAP, and Web Services
• Experience with high volume web based applications
• Excellent understanding of e-commerce technology and architecture
• Strong background in Object Oriented Programming

Other skills and pluses:

• Flash/FLEX/Action Script 3.0 development experience
• Experience with the commercial print industry
• Internationalization experience
• Microsoft Certifications
• Excellent communication, time management and professional skills

Functions:

• Enhance and support the current version of the PrintNow application
• Assist with the development of the next generation of the PrintNow application
• Understand business requirements for new features, design/implement technical solutions that satisfy those requirements
• Work with and learn from a team of experienced developers
• Mentor less experienced programmers
