Under full ownership Todd Gordner changed the name of the company to PrintNow Technologies Inc. and relocated office to Springfield MA. Brian Maxwell started with PrintNow and became our Senior Developer and CTO. Family Investors helped to finance IT development over the next two years to transform to a new code base and product offering.
Released Online Editor as a separate Flash application aimed at the B2C online design market. Users wanted more control changing fonts, font sizes, font colors, movement, and rotation and see an instant online proof compared to the traditional forms based workflow.
Released Storefront and forms based editor under the brand name PDFpro. It was mainly used as a corporate B2B online stationary ordering application at that time and allowed print providers to deploy private branded portals. Users would fill out online forms, receive PDF proofs for approval and the printer would receive print-ready PDF files fully imposed for printing.
Company originally founded as ProLogic Inc. Partners Todd Gordner and John Hamilton started developing e-commerce solutions based on Todd’s last 15 years in the printing industry and experience automating orders on the internet for other printing companies. The phase “web-to-Print”, “Web2Print” & “W2p” became very popular at that time when referring to this process.
